Octabone® shows a unique rough and hydrophilic surface structure, closely resembling the natural texture of human bone. Chiyewon's 15 years of R&D and sophisticated manufacturing expertise enable Octabone® to exhibit an optimal, natural surface topography, the same as human bone.

Why is Rough Surface necessary?

New bone formation is initiated through the attachment of blood clots, also known as fibrin network formation. A rough and hydrophilic surface is essential for this process; without it, effective bone promotion cannot be expected, similar to how friction is difficult to create on a smooth, glassy surface.

Our expertise in low-temperature manufacturing and research with top scientific institutions allows us to create a graft material with a surface that closely resembles human bone.

Octabone® has completely controlled the phenomenon of vitrification and the resulting cracks caused by high temperatures (1200°C and above).

Multiporosity

The porosity of the bone graft substitute is one of the most crucial factors for angiogenic progress.
